The winter months of extreme cold and wind can be damaging to our skin, particularly those areas constantly exposed. The summer, while not so obviously a threat to one’s lips can also be the cause for exposure from excessive sun exposure. Our lips are on the front lines only masked with a thin layer of skin to protect them. They are one of the most important parts of our body – the entry point for food and beverage intake, an integral part of expressing ourselves, frowning, smiling, and most importantly for kissing!
We can’t give you statistics on how many people struggle with chapped lips in the US because there are no surveys or studies that give us a reliable estimate.
Some of the factors that cause chapped lips include dry or cold weather, exposure to the wind or sun, excessive licking of the lips, and certain medications.
While chapped lips are a common condition that many people struggle with during their lifetime, some may be more severe than others.
The scientific name for chapped lips is “cheilitis”. There are many things you can do on your own to address this but if it persists or becomes unmanageable, it’s important to visit your dermatologist.
What we do know is that if you’re struggling with it, we want to help!
Did you know that the lips don’t have any oil glands like other parts of your skin? That means that your lips are more prone to drying out and becoming dry and/or cracked. The problem can get worse if there is a lack of moisture. This lack of moisture can be a result of weather or simply overlooking care for your lips and basic hydration.
If there is limited humidity in your environment, this can cause chapped lips as well. And, if you’re a sun god or goddess, that constant sun exposure may also impact the condition of your lips.
If you find yourself licking your lips often, the saliva also may strip your lips of the needed moisture and create dryness.
What’s fair to say is that a lot of people struggle with chapped lips. Those that have dry skin to begin with are more susceptible to dry lips. There are also some medications that you may be taking that can have an impact.
We are not suggesting you stop taking them because they are likely very important and necessary as prescribed by your health care practitioner.
Some medications or supplements you may be taking that can result in chapped lips include:
We suggest speaking with your health care practitioner to determine what course is best for you to use to address your dry, chapped lips.
However, if you’d like to, after speaking with your physician, try a natural, plant-based wellness solution, then, you may wish to consider CBD-infused lip balm.
You may be surprised to learn that dry, chapped lips are very common but that doesn’t make you feel any better. Left untreated, an issue that may have been slight could turn severe with cracks and peeling.
For all you spicy food lovers and those that live in more temperate climates, you aren’t safe either. Damage brought on by eating spicy food, the sun or dry climates also contribute to chapped lips. People often find themselves licking their lips more often in these circumstances which may cause more harm. And, yes, spicy food might be a favorite of yours, but it too can result in chapped lips.
Another factor many overlook is the impact medication may have on your lips. Many over-the-counter and prescription medications may have some side effects, one of which, chapped lips.
There are many things you may consider doing to keep your lips in tip-top shape for whatever you have planned for them.
We are all about providing you with education, tips, and tricks to promote overall health and wellness.

There are plenty of products, songs, foods, and clothing in our life that quality as “one-hit wonders”. CBD has broken that threshold and proven it is here to stay.
In fact, it’s now being incorporated into beauty products, foods, and beverages. CBD has so many applications we know now, and we can confidently surmise that will be many more to come.
Cannabidiol (CBD) comes in so many forms that it can easily be incorporated into your daily health and wellness regimen.
If you are new to this, we thought it might be helpful to give you some simple ways to incorporate it into your daily routine.
We all struggle with wiping the sleep away and energizing ourselves to start the day. If you want to begin the day with a boost of energy – here are 2 products you can use:
And, if your day began with a stimulating workout, then the CBD product will help soothe your muscles and joints and get you through the day.
A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures for almost anything. The way your day turns out depends a lot on the night before and the sleep you either did or did not get. Being able to effectively wind down and relax your mind and body for a restful night’s sleep is not something easily achieved by all. Anecdotal evidence suggests that CBD wellness products may be a natural plant-based wellness alternative that is effective in addressing sleep-related issues. It’s always important to consult with your health care practitioner first, but once agreed, CBD in many forms can be helpful. CBD products, taken an hour before bed can play a role in helping the mind and body to find a sense of calm and relaxation so you can fall asleep and remain asleep. The National Sleep Foundation recommends 7-9 hours of sleep per night for the average adult. While many of our CBD products may assist in achieving great rest/relaxation and sleep, here are two products you can use specifically formulated with terpenes to aid in sleep:
Both alternatives contain the same blend of terpenes, which when combined with CBD reinforce the relax/restore name we have given to these two products.
For those that rely on exercise as an integral part of their wellness routine, the post-workout discomfort can be something that hinders your consistency in keeping this as part of a daily routine.
After a workout, the muscles in our body are responding to the rigor of the workout and may become inflamed and sore after the pressure they sustained. This can lead to some discomfort and body parts becoming stiff. While this is the body’s response to repair itself and maintain homeostasis, it can still be uncomfortable.
Anecdotal evidence suggests that CBD may have many wellness benefits that help to manage what the body might be dealing with after a workout. Here are 2 products you can use to aid in workout recovery:
A few drops or a dropper sublingually of CBD Full Spectrum Tincture can serve as an alternative to over the counter pain relievers.
There are many that deal with chronic discomfort on a daily basis. A day with relief from discomfort seems impossible for some. Of course, it’s essential that if you are under the care of a physician and are on medication, we recommend you consult with them before considering CBD. Once approved, incorporating CBD in any of its forms into your daily regimen for at least 30 days may be effective for aiding in relief from that discomfort.
There are plenty of respected studies that have been done to support the use of CBD as a possible aid in discomfort.
While things have slowed down a bit from the fast pace we were all maintaining prior to the pandemic, it does not afford us an escape from stress. The challenges, especially in 2020 of everyday life coupled with COVID precautions, can leave us feeling a host of emotions and stress. It’s normal for us to manage stress in our daily life but it can interfere with our mental health and well-being. It may also make it challenging to relax before bed and find a calm state to get a restful night’s sleep.
On your health and wellness journey, alleviating stress can be helpful.
There are many that have shared anecdotally that they have experienced relief from stress using CBD as an alternative. There has been some scientific research that affirms this, but we look forward to more studies to confirm this. These studies indicate that CBD stimulates the production of endocannabinoids in the body which can help address mood and stress.
Our CBD products in any form may be alternatives to use to provide relief from stress.
Taking care of your skin should not be a challenge and is something important to protect our body which serves as the front-line defender for balance or homeostasis. With so many CBD infused beauty products, it’s important to consider the right ones for your needs from a reputable and trusted manufacturer. CBD-infused beauty products can easily be incorporated into your daily routine in the morning and evening. These are relatively affordable products to add to your daily regimen with many uses. Studies suggest that these products have anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and may help with a host of skincare challenges.
To begin, CBD Tinctures can be applied to dry patches of skin, may help with acne, dry scalp, dry cuticles, and fine lines and wrinkles. Apply it before bed or in the morning after thoroughly washing your face.
CBD infused body lotion can be applied to dry patches of skin and provide for a soothing and nourishing product for your skin rejuvenation. And it can provide relief from tired, achy muscles and joints.
CBD infused lip balm should be applied frequently to your lips to replenish and restore them to their plump, natural beauty.
CBD use comes with a lot of benefits and building a sustainable routine to incorporate it into your daily health and wellness routine is easy. It’s important to stay focused on the goals you plan to achieve and how to use this hemp-derived superstar to achieve your health and wellness goals.
The 9 most important thing is to find a trustworthy manufacturer whose products are:
And, lastly, listen to your body – it knows what it wants and needs and what you should incorporate to best support it.
]]>I have a notebook full of new year’s resolutions that I’ve enthusiastically made every year for over a decade. Unfortunately, most of the things I’ve added to the lists have never been realized. There’s nothing wrong with creating goals and intentions, though if I’m honest, some of these thoughts scribbled on the paper are not very realistic or easily accomplished. I am who I am and I’m not sure what I was thinking when I decided that eliminating ________ (fill in the blank) from my life was a realistic and achievable goal. We envision dramatic changes to our habits and the easy adoption of new ones. Instead of setting ourselves up for disappointment, by setting goals that are difficult to attain, and require ‘heavy-lifting (literally or figuratively) let’s aim for some realistic ones that will have us kicking off 2021 with positivity and hope.
It’s good to want to live a healthier life, but these goals can be hard to keep up with. Setting some that are more easily attainable is always a good idea, so you feel a sense of accomplishment rather than disappointment. Small changes matter and are the steps towards bigger changes. Of course, doing simple things like drinking more water, and going to bed earlier should make a difference, but what if you could add something that’s sustainable for your lifestyle that easily fits into your daily routine?
Would you believe me if I told you that incorporating CBD into your daily health and wellness regimen should be at the top of your realistic New Year’s Resolution list? There are a handful of reasons that you may want to consider this simple addition.
CBD is a non-addictive, non-psychoactive present from the hemp (cannabis Sativa) plant that does not impair you or get you high. Anecdotal evidence suggests that it may improve your ability to focus and to relieve muscle and joint discomfort caused by inflammation when you have finished a workout or activity. It may also help alleviate stress and make it easier to get to sleep.
Starting off the new year with the goal of improving your health and wellness will require that you get enough sleep, hydrate, set a healthy diet, and do so with consistency.
Incorporating CBD into this routine may help on your health and wellness journey. It’s important that you allow for a least thirty days to realize some of the potential benefits, though many may find relief sooner depending on their issue and the amount and frequency consumed. Additionally, it’s essential that you purchase products from a trusted and reputable company. Here is a checklist of a few things to consider when selecting a CBD product.
After you’ve selected the right manufacturer, it’s important to determine the format of CBD you would like and that best serves your needs.
CBD is short for cannabidiol is one of many compounds found in the cannabis plant. This amazing compound has grown in awareness, popularity, and mainstream acceptance. Over the past two decades, there has been an overwhelming interest in CBD as an alternative plant-based wellness solution for many people and pet owners that are looking to lead a healthier and more active life. There are many scientific studies that have been done and many more to come to understand and validate the potential benefits of CBD. While it comes from the cannabis (marijuana) plant, it is not psychoactive, and CBD will not get you “high.”
CBD is not a “one size fits all” for everyone. While CBD may address issues one person is having does not mean it will do the same for you. We are all unique, divine individuals with different biochemistry, body composition, weight, and many more individual attributes.
If you are considering CBD, then it’s important to start by speaking to your physician to make sure CBD is right for you. And, if you do venture into CBD, we’ve got some valuable tips on how it can help you.
You may wish to check out our usage guide which may assist you on a plan to figure out the correct amount or concentration of CBD to take for your particular situation. Finding the correct amount and format is a unique personal journey and despite the desire for a one size fits all, finding the correct amount and format of CBD is well worth the modest amount of effort expended.
Achieving your goals for maintaining a healthy lifestyle in the new year and keeping your immune system in its prime shape is a cocktail of many elements including at least 6 to 9 hours of sleep, proper hydration, exercise, nutrition, and consistency with these things. Most importantly is listening to your body – don’t overdo it – if your body needs time to recover from exertion, give it the time and help it needs. Quality sleep and consistent hydration are cornerstones of maintaining and restoring health, and easy to achieve with the correct attitude and means to achieve those goals.
After workouts, your muscles may be sore and likely have some amount of inflammation (relative to before your workout). That’s your body telling you that you worked it hard and it needs time to recover. It’s essential that you give your body time to recover. Your muscles need specific nutrients that aid in repairing them. Giving your muscles time to recover and what they need is key. There are many different things you can consider to help including before workout stretching, supplements, – AND CBD. A recent scientific study suggests that CBD may have some physiological, biochemical, and psychological effects that have significant potential benefits for athletes, but more research is needed. Anecdotal evidence suggests that people that use CBD after exercise have benefitted from relief for muscle and joint discomfort, and therefore, better quality sleep.
Arduous physical activity may cause stress to muscles and joints in the body including swelling. Physical activity causes stress responses in the body, one of which is inflammation, which can cause muscle and joint discomfort. Anecdotal evidence suggests that CBD may help alleviate that discomfort for muscles and joints.
CBD may be an alternative to aid in alleviating the discomfort your body may have endured during an intense workout. There are options to take CBD internally using CBD tinctures, CBD gummies or CBD softgels, or externally using CBD infused lotion. Using these both before and after a workout may help reduce discomfort and you’re your muscles recover from exercise. If you are lucky, you may be able to have your spouse or partner give you a free massage using the CBD infused lotion to rub it deep into your body.
In the words of Homer, “There is a time for many words, and there is also a time for sleep.” The Sleep Foundation suggests that the average adult needs between 6-9 hours of sleep a night. Eight hours of sleep per night is the most optimal for adult humans. Anecdotal evidence suggests that CBD may reduce stress which can help to improve the quality of sleep. An uninterrupted, restful night’s sleep is essential to keep your immune system strong and in shape to react to life’s stresses. Some suggest that CBD may help those that struggle to fall asleep and stay asleep. There are some CBD products that may help you find a more relaxed and restful state so that you are able to fall asleep and stay asleep. Alternatively, there are some CBD products that may help stimulate you, energize your focus, and add a kick to your day.
At High Falls Hemp NY, we have incorporated terpenes into some of our products (tinctures and gummies) to enhance the wellness benefits of CBD for use during different times of the day. ]]>We can all agree on this – absolutely nothing has been normal about 2020. Every facet of our lives has looked different this year.
We’ve learned in 2020 that our home is our sanctuary for comfort and inspiration. Our wellness must be nurtured with essentials that help us feel the best we can morning, noon, and night.
At High Falls Hemp NY, we believe in enhancing the lives of all people and pets – one product (or many) at a time. These products can help you lead a more relaxed, balanced, and healthy lifestyle from the comforts of your home.
While the pandemic has disrupted our lives, it provided the potential for us to slow down and focus on taking better care of ourselves and our beloved friends and family.
We’ve compiled a list of tips that can help you enhance your life and find some relief and self-care ideas to keep stress levels low and aid in relaxing your body.
While virtual gatherings are the new norm and surely don’t replace the real-life, in-person experience, they are at least a way to see a familiar face. It’s important to be thankful for the gift of technology to maintain and reinforce our relationships. Whether it’s a dinner party online, a lady’s night out virtually, a remote family holiday or birthday gathering, watching sports with the guys, or an online reunion of classmates, there are so many ways we can remain connected while apart.
We believe in purchasing what you love – those things that will be used and loved because they help you look and feel your best.
This means choosing to buy things that enhance your health and wellbeing. We have been overwhelmed by the barrage of products being paraded around you promising to boost your immunity, improve every aspect of your life, and treat and cure medical issues and challenges.
At High Falls Hemp NY, we do not make false promises about products that will treat or cure anything. We are on a mission to offer holistic plant-based wellness alternatives that can easily be incorporated into your daily wellness routine to support your wellbeing. Transparency, credibility, and trust are key to our mission.
We believe in keeping it simple. Innovate when it makes a difference. Explore new possibilities for a better life.
Remember when we used to complain about how life was moving too fast and we barely had a chance to rest? With all this extra time at home, take advantage of it.
Create new wellness rituals that you do every day to take care of yourself. Incorporate the right routine and select the right personal care products that support you on this journey of health and wellness. On this journey, there are a handful of things you need to focus on for your mind and body.
First and foremost, is a restful night’s sleep. That means a solid 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep through the night. According to the Sleep Foundation, adults need between 7 and 9 hours of sleep per night. As we get older, having a full night’s sleep can become more challenging. This can be frustrating, and some turn to over the counter sleep remedies while others obtain prescriptions for sleep aids. As always, it’s important to consult with your health care practitioner when you are considering new products, including CBD.
CBD may be a great holistic alternative to aid in a restful night’s sleep. One scientific study has shown that cannabidiol (CBD) may hold benefits in providing a calming effect to the central nervous system and providing for a more restful night’s sleep.
While CBD has many applications, there is a lot of anecdotal evidence that suggests that CBD has often been used to address stress for those who struggle with falling asleep and staying asleep. There are a few different forms you can consider when taking CBD to help with sleep.
For both methods of taking CBD listed above (tinctures and gummies), High Falls Hemp NY has crafted a blend of CBD with our proprietary blend of terpenes which are described as “Relax/Restore” formulated to promote what the name says: relax and restore.
Another important factor in self-care is having a positive mindset. The Mayo Clinic claims there are many health benefits to positive thinking. It can increase life span, lower rates of depression, lower levels of distress, greater resistance to the common cold, and better physical and psychological well-being.
There are many studies that focus on the potential benefits of CBD for stress and we are eager to see more to come that reinforce these benefits. There has been tremendous interest in the potential benefits of CBD as a way to address stress. One study suggests that CBD may be an option for stress relief. There is a lot of anecdotal evidence that suggests that CBD as a natural, plant-based wellness alternative may be a product to consider when addressing stress. If you are considering CBD for stress, there are many forms for you to consider. It’s important to find what works best for you, which will come with your own self-guided program
Taking care of our body is also an essential element of self-care. That means the inside and outside. There are many skin care products infused with CBD being offered today that claim that those products help with acne, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, moisturizing skin, and soothing muscles and joints from discomfort.
It’s important to note that there are many misleading health claims about how CBD-infused products can treat skin issues. None of the claims made have been proven and research is still in its early stages.
There are many findings that suggest that CBD may hold promise for treating some skin challenges. The American Academy of Dermatology has done some preliminary research and its findings suggest that CBD holds some promise in treating some skin conditions. As always, consult with your physician or dermatologist before using CBD-infused products.
When approved by your doctor or clinician, It’s important to select products from a trusted leader in manufacturing CBD products.
There is a combination of factors that impact our skin - environmental conditions, age, and everyday wear and tear.
CBD infused lotion may be something you wish to consider and the great part about that is that it does double-duty in rejuvenating your skin as the CBD may also alleviate discomfort in muscles and joints.
And, if you are like us, our lips are often overlooked but preemptively caring for them as they serve on the front line of our body daily, you may want to consider trying CBD-infused lip balm. A great way to nourish your lips and protect them from harsh environmental conditions and eliminate cracking and dry lips.
Another element you should consider incorporating into your wellness plans for the new year is music.
Music is like “grandma’s chicken soup for your soul” and supports health. According toJohns Hopkins, keeping your brain engaged during the aging process can be achieved by listening to music. It gives your brain a workout. Their research shows that music can reduce stress levels, blood pressure, discomfort, and help in improving mood. Put together a playlist with different genres for different moods to benefit your soul.

]]>If you are raising your hand, these side effects are often associated with altitude sickness.
Altitude sickness (AKA acute mountain sickness), as defined by The Cleveland Clinic is physical distress on the body from difficulty adjusting to an area of higher altitude, which has lower oxygen concentration. Most of the symptoms above are usually mild, but in rare cases, they can be more severe.
Air is “thinner” at higher altitudes. When you go to a higher elevation too fast, your body may not be able to get as much oxygen intake as it needs to regularly function. You may need to breathe faster, which can result in a headache and other symptoms that may be associated with altitude illness.
Altitude sickness symptoms occur when your body cannot get enough oxygen into the bloodstream from the air at high elevation. Altitude sickness might also be exacerbated by strenuous physical activity at higher altitudes for those who have just come from a lower altitude. There is no rhyme or reason for determining who will or won’t get it. It has nothing to do with gender, or fitness level. Altitude sickness can be dangerous, so it’s important to address it when it happens.
The measurement of oxygen in your body is called your oxygen saturation level. It measures the level of oxygen in your red blood cells and is measured in one of two ways. The measurement is called PaO2 when using a blood gas device, and O2 sat (SpO2) when using a pulse ox. You may have heard the term pulse ox, short for pulse oximeter, in the news recently as a result of the pandemic. A pulse oximeter is available as a consumer home health detection device used by those who may want to easily check their levels without the current challenges of having to leave their homes to have blood drawn for the blood gas option.
A pulse oximeter measures the oxygen saturation level in your body without using needles or requiring a blood sample. The pulse oximeter clips onto the tip of a finger and uses a cold light source that shines a light through the tip, making it glow red for a few seconds. The device determines the percentage of oxygen in red blood cells by analyzing the light passing through the finger. Think of it as a home blood-pressure measurement cuff.
As always, please refer to your physician or a medical professional regarding the meaning of oxygen saturation levels in relation to your issues or concerns.
There are many ways that you can address altitude sickness, but the most important thing to do is to contact a healthcare practitioner to make sure they agree with the remedies you wish to use to make sure they are best for you. The health care practitioner needs to ask you questions and address the symptoms and possibly examine you to best rule out any other conditions or issues.
If you are hiking, camping, or traveling to an area of high altitude, it’s important to know the symptoms of altitude sickness. Many may mistake the symptoms for other common issues like the flu and dehydration, or even a hangover. Consistent and healthy hydration should be a foundation of any health and wellness regimen and a baseline consideration before undertaking activities or environments which negatively impact hydration.
If you have ruled out everything else and identified that you are experiencing altitude sickness, there are a few things you may consider doing.
The Boulder Medical Center in Boulder, Colorado suggests that the most effective treatment is an altitude adjustment by traveling to a lower elevation. If your symptoms are mild, you may wish to consider staying at that elevation and allowing your body to adjust. We are not suggesting that, and it’s important that you consider what is best for you by consulting with your physician. Depending on the person, the adjustment process to a higher altitude could take a few hours, a day, or longer; each person is different.
If you remain at a higher altitude, make sure you get enough rest. Take it easy, and don’t over-exert yourself. Drink plenty of water, but do not drink alcohol. It’s best not to consider going to a higher altitude until your symptoms go away. This may take hours or, in some cases, days.
Plenty of people are using CBD with exercise because they feel it has given them control over their health and wellness with natural plant-based products. As we always suggest, it’s essential that you speak with your healthcare practitioner first to make sure it’s agreed that CBD is right for you. Many people feel that using natural products helps them support and balance their lives and may, in some instances, reduce some side effects of pharmaceuticals or over-the-counter options and have less of an impact on the environment now and for future generations.
While there are plenty of over-the-counter and prescription medications, some have turned to CBD to address altitude sickness. It’s important to note that CBD does not treat or cure any medical issue or illness.
It’s important to reinforce that CBD is NOT cannabis (marijuana). CBD is a cousin to cannabis, but unlike its cousin, CBD is not psychoactive and has 0.3% or less THC, while cannabis has much more.
CBD is an acronym for cannabidiol. CBD is one of the many compounds found in the cannabis plant. CBD interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for supporting the homeostasis of organs and systems throughout the body.
Unlike its close relative THC, CBD does not get you high, and it is legal. There are many scientific and clinical studies by many organizations into the potential therapeutic benefits that CBD may have, and many more to come.
CBD has gotten a lot of media attention in recent years, and there is a lot of anecdotal evidence from people that use CBD and the miraculous things it has done for them and their pets. There is a lot of scientific research that has been done, and we are eager to see more, but until then, we have to trust the research that exists and anecdotal evidence. With this information, note that each person and their experience is unique to them. It may work for some and not all. As our mothers” once said, “Just because it looks good on her, doesn’t mean it will look good on you.” CBD may have some potential benefits, but until the FDA regulates and approves it, we’ll have to rely on some of the clinical research and anecdotal evidence.
There is not much evidence on whether or not CBD can help with altitude sickness, but one of the reasons for altitude sickness is a lack of oxygen in the body.
A 2015 study has shown that CBD can help open the bronchial passages, and this could help those that need more oxygen. Therefore, someone experiencing altitude sickness may be able to avoid low blood oxygen levels.
This provides some promise that if CBD may help with improving the oxygenation of blood with CBD, perhaps it may help with altitude sickness. Much more research is needed on this topic.
Everyone’s body chemistry is very different. And because of that, many people doubt CBD’s effectiveness because different people get different benefits to varying degrees. Others purchase CBD from “bad actors” and get what they paid for.
CBD is a natural compound from a plant, and everything from your height, body weight, biochemistry, and quality/potency of the CBD product matters in the power of the potential results.
If you have not used CBD before, we would not suggest using it when going to a high altitude for the first time. You should try it at home, in your own environment, to make sure it’s right for you. Consider combining CBD with physical activity or an intense workout at your normal elevation (and at home) for a test drive.
If you are comfortable with it and feel that it may be a possible alternative, natural plant-based wellness solution to altitude sickness for you, then go for it.
Anecdotal evidence from real people suggests that CBD has been a holistic alternative for them to replace over-the-counter altitude sickness medications.
Like any new product you introduce into your daily regimen, we suggest you take it slow – it’s always wise to start out with a smaller amount and see how it goes and how you and your body reacts.
High Falls Hemp NY products are trusted, triple lab tested, have QR codes on every product for ease in accessing the full panel lab report, provide verified reviews by independent sources, are vegan, gluten-free, no GMO’s, cruelty-free, and proudly grown in the USA on our farm in High Falls NY. Our array of CBD products may satisfy many of the things you are looking for to address your needs with natural, plant-based wellness alternatives.
]]>Who can blame a pet owner for wanting their dog or cat to benefit from the same natural support that CBD may offer to them?
There is a lot of information available regarding wellness products that benefit both humans and pets, but what can you believe?
At High Falls Hemp NY, our mission is to provide best in class CBD products but most importantly, is to advocate for education and transparency in CBD as a holistic alternative.
We unpack the facts, break them down so that you can easily understand and make the right choice for you and your furry family members. We believe that CBD may be a natural alternative to over the counter and prescription medications for some, but not all.
We have the same set of guiding principles when it comes to your pets. It’s important that you consult with your veterinarian before considering giving your pet CBD or any other natural wellness product to make sure it’s right for them.
You want the best for your dog or cat, but the one question you may have is, “What do I need to know about CBD?”
To date, there are few formal studies on the overall effects of CBD for pets, and most are anecdotal though very credible and compelling in the reporting. There was a study that was done in 2018 to assess the safety and efficacy of CBD oil in dogs with arthritis.
However, nothing concrete is available to date and we evangelize more research to support use cases for CBD as a potential health and wellness alternative for dogs and cats, just like we do for humans. What we do know is that like humans, dogs and cats have an endocannabinoid system.
Scientists know that the cannabinoids in CBD interact with the receptors in the endocannabinoid system sending neurotransmitters through the central and peripheral nervous systems to help maintain balance in the body, homeostasis. This helps to keep the body in a normal, healthy state. This fact applies to both humans and pets.
As we always state, it is unlawful for any CBD company to make medical claims that CBD will treat or cure any medical illness or disease. There is simply no definitive scientific data to advocate for CBD and the treatment of dogs and cats. What we can share, anecdotally, is that we hear from many customers that own dogs and cats that suggest that CBD has helped them in treating their pets for stress and discomfort.
It’s important that you consult with your veterinarian to determine if CBD is right for your pet. There is other anecdotal information that CBD is used by some for inflammation, nausea, and appetite stimulation. Most interesting is the many that share CBD aids in managing stress in their pets due to thunder, fireworks, and other loud noises.
Please note, this may work for some but does not work for all – just like everything else in life – each pet, like a human, is unique. Just because it may work for one, does not mean that it works for all. But, if your pet struggles with some of these issues and you are looking for natural alternatives, CBD may be something you’d like to try.
CBD comes in different forms and milligram options. It’s important that you review the form you are using, and the suggested amounts based on your dog’s weight, See our usage guide for the pet to assist you in determining what may be right for your pet.
The product should have a product label that clearly outlines the serving suggestions or directs you to an online destination to best manage. As humans, we recommend that you start your dog or cat off with a smaller amount and adjust as needed based on how they respond to the CBD.
Once you are comfortable with the right amount for your pet, you can easily incorporate CBD into their daily wellness regimen.
CBD works differently with each person and the same applies to pets. The amount needed and how long it takes to metabolize in their system depends on the form in which it’s given, along with some other factors.
First and foremost, it's important to consult with your veterinarian to agree on the use of CBD for your pet.
We recommend CBD pet tinctures because they are liquid-form and get into the bloodstream faster than other forms like pet treats which the body first has to break down, metabolize through the liver, and send through the bloodstream.
Other factors that affect how long it takes for CBD to work on your dog or cat is their size, age, weight, and overall health. With some pets, you will see a difference after a single-use while others might take more than one use for it to provide the benefits you are looking to achieve.
We recommend that, if you choose CBD for your pet, that you use it with them for at least 30 days to see how they respond and if it does what you desire to support them.
CBD may provide the same benefits for humans and our pets and it’s important to find a product that uses the same high quality CBD hemp oil in their pet products that they use in their human products.
Almost every member of the High Falls Hemp NY family has at least one dog or cat that is part of our extended furry family. With that in mind, our CBD pet tincture is curated the same way as our human products.
The only difference is the suggested amount and that the CBD pet tincture is made with our pets in mind in a formula that would support them.
As we shared early, there is no scientific data on CBD with dogs and cats, and therefore, there is no data on the side effects of CBD usage for dogs and cats.
We can only rely on scientific evidence on some of the data on how CBD affects people. In order to best manage the process, it’s important that you follow the suggested amount guidelines for the product.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has yet to approve CBD and therefore, there is no use of a “dosing chart” available. All brands should, like High Falls Hemp NY, provide a suggested amount chart so that you can determine the right amount for your pet.
Like all supplements and medication, there are risks of a reaction so it’s important to monitor your pet’s reaction to the CBD. But, as a pet owner, we all know that when we give our dog or cat something new, we should always begin with a smaller amount and monitor the effects.
And, as always, consult with your veterinarian before trying it.
Once you have consulted with your veterinarian and decided that it is okay to try CBD for your dog or cat, there are a few things you should keep in mind about the CBD Pet product you want for your loved, furry family member.
Here’s the checklist to make sure you do right by your furry four-legged family member:
There are dog treats, capsules, and tincture liquid oils you can consider. We recommend CBD pet tincture which is a liquid CBD oil. It’s the best form that can be placed under their tongue or sprinkled on their food or a treat.
This form allows you to be in control of how much you give them from the dropper and to enable the liquid to easily digest into the system.
With so many choices, it will be hard to find the right CBD products for your pet. We believe that there are potential benefits to using CBD as a natural alternative, but each person is unique, and each pet is too.
If you decide to explore this path to enhance the health and wellness of your pet, we recommend trying High Falls Hemp NY CBD Pet tinctures. You have nothing to lose with our 30-day risk-free trial.
And, you don’t have to believe us, read our reviews, our products are loved by thousands of loyal customers… and their pets!
]]>We may be dating ourselves here, but does anyone remember the character Barbara Streisand played in the movie, Meet the Fockers? She was a sex therapist to seniors and very open and vocal about a healthy sex life in your golden years. It was priceless and reinforces that we can embrace sex after 50.
Dr. Ruth Westheimer, a sex therapist and media personality, born in 1928, espouses the notion that sexual activity remains an important part of every person’s needs, especially as they age, and that seniors should be doing what they can to make sure that sexual activity is part of ones’ regular patterns.
Things may change, we may change as we age, but with some knowledge, and creativity, and a few helpful products, may allow seniors (hate that they call us that now) a chance to kick things into high gear. Sex can remain an integral part of who we are throughout our lives.
As we age, sexual activities may become less frequent, whether for couples or if you are “single” and on your own. Our bodies change as we age. Adjusting to these changes is important for maintaining healthy and pleasurable sex, and you need to identify what issues there may be for you or your partner and find what works best.
There are countless over the counter and prescription medications that big pharmaceutical companies are offering, and they might offer a solution. However, there are some recent studies, media coverage, and anecdotal evidence that CBD may be a natural alternative to “get your engine revved.”
Before considering CBD as a natural alternative, it’s best to consult with your health care practitioner to make sure CBD is right for you.
As we age, our libido may change, or there may be other factors that come into play that impact our ability to engage in sexual activity with a partner or pleasure yourself alone. None of these factors should mean that you can have less fun in bed. Sex can get better with age! There are new products coming out every day that can aid in stimulation and pleasure for you and your partner.
CBD oil tinctures and CBD Terpene Tinctures are one of those newer products that may work for you. Remember, this is not the “golden ticket”. What works for one, may not work for another but, if you are looking for natural alternatives or want to try everything, this may be a path you consider.
You’d have to be living on another planet to have missed the CBD craze in America. There are countless CBD products and CBD infused into many things too! From tinctures to terpenes, edibles, topical creams, bath bombs, and more,
CBD is proving to be practical and versatile for many applications and common needs. We have only just begun to scratch the surface on what its infinite applications may be.
CBD is used by many for relief from stress, muscle, and joint discomfort, and a few other issues as a natural alternative, taken daily as part of a wellness regimen. But, as we mentioned, the benefits continue to be shared. Anecdotally, there’s been a lot of clamor amongst those over the age of 50 that have been experimenting with CBD and how it’s helped change their bedroom from just a place to sleep heating up again.
The insights being shared are how it is enriching their sex lives, regardless of age. Whether you are a man or a woman, there is a lot of chatter about how, for those over the age of 50, CBD has been an alternative that has spiced things up.
Let’s say goodbye to complaints of anything other than the bed creaking! Oh my!
Again, this is all anecdotal, but at High Falls Hemp NY, we like to share relevant information as soon as it’s available to make sure we can keep you up to date on what we’re hearing and what is going on in the industry so you are well informed.
It’s also important to recognize that there are a lot of CBD products on the market. If you are considering CBD, you’ll want to make sure that you are using quality products to elicit the results you are looking to achieve. A few things to make sure you check before purchasing a CBD product:
Once you’ve established that the product meets all of these requirements, you are on your way.
CBD is helping many as a natural alternative, adding it to their daily health and wellness regimen. Here are some ways that we’ve been hearing anecdotally, that CBD may be used to help your sex life.
CBD to help set the stage for Sexual Activity
As we age, more physical aspects of our existence start to deteriorate. Whether it is achy muscles, arthritic joints, or orthopedic conditions related to various body parts, such as one’s knees, hips, back, CBD may help relieve general aches and pains. When one is in pain, that becomes a big deterrent for sexual activity.
How can anyone enjoy sexual activity when their back is thrown “out of whack” or is experiencing deep pain in their hips. To the extent that CBD may help alleviate these issues, then it may help set the stage for more sexual activity and confidence that these other issues will not interfere with a healthy sex life.
If your partner is suffering from chronic issues and does not want to take the plethora of pharmaceutical remedies, then you may consider recommending CBD as a holistic alternative.
While there is no concrete evidence, there are some scientific studies about how CBD may reduce stress. As people get older, there may be some issues with inflammation, discomfort, or sensitivity to our body image, this results in stress about performance and desire.
This stress for men can result in an inability to maintain an erection or for women to get in the mood. The benefit of CBD as evidenced from scientific study and shared anecdotally is that the CBD has alleviated their stress related to performance, aka performance anxiety. This enables people to have less worry and get in the moment and enjoy it.
As we get older, it’s a good idea to use some form of lubrication whether we are having sex with a partner or solo. Lubricated genitals make for joy in the friction instead of pain.
For women, the genital tissues thin as they age as a result of the reduction in estrogen production. This may make sexual intercourse more painful without lubrication. The cushioned wetness that may have existed when you were younger may have slowed or stopped and that may make penetration and sex with a partner or sex toy less comfortable if there is a lack of lubrication and you are dry. Even fondling may be uncomfortable. This is when you would normally mutter, “nature is cruel”.
No need to worry – you just need something that provides lubrication to make it more pleasurable. CBD Terpene Tinctures may work for you by helping reduce your stress and concern and kicking your endorphins into high gear that send neurotransmitters through your endocannabinoid system to get the juices flowing.
For men, whether your genitals are erect or soft or perhaps somewhere in the middle, CBD may provide you with some confidence and relief from stress to help with stimulation for your partner or yourself if going solo. Don’t wait until right before you intend to have sex to take CBD, give it some time to kick in. The best amount for you should be based on your weight and metabolic rate.
CBD may also help improve the quality of orgasm for both men and women which may be something you have missed as you’ve gotten older. Results will vary, but CBD may open the door to a higher quality of sexual satisfaction.
CBD for both men and women may help relax you, increase or improve blood flow to the genitals, and make the experience pleasurable. This is because both genders have cannabinoid receptors in their respective reproductive organs and sexual tissue.
The CBD can increase the blood flow to these tissues that can increase sensitivity and promote the body’s ability to produce its own natural lubricants without the aid of over the counter or prescription medications.
If you are using CBD to set the mood, we suggest using it before you get into the bedroom. CBD has stress-reducing benefits and quality products may increase your feeling of relaxation and comfort level to remove tension and nervous energy. CBD may help you and your partner (or just you if going solo), feel more relaxed and ready before you hit the bed (or wherever you intend to get that pleasure). Sex is not just a physical connection but both a mental and emotional connection too and CBD may help.
CBD Terpene Tincture, we’ve heard anecdotally, has helped both men and women over the age of 50 become more receptive to sexual activity and increased their pleasure in the bedroom.
CBD may help enhance the pleasure for both men and women.
CBD Terpene Tinctures can help set the mood and get the good vibes going but preparation in advance is suggested. For optimal results, we recommend taking a few drops sublingually (under the tongue) for best absorption into the small capillaries in the mouth to quickly enter the bloodstream and transport to the right organs that will be going to work and relaxing you to feel the effects. Otherwise, putting it in some tea would work as well.
While you wait for it to kick in, you may consider some foreplay. It couldn’t hurt!
At High Falls Hemp NY, we like to share what is trending and what we are hearing. We look forward to more scientific studies to validate what we are hearing and being told by our customers. But, until then, if you are looking for alternatives to support your sexual desire after age 50, CBD may be something you’d like to try.
Make sure to do your research and purchase the right product and form you want. Be mindful of the amount you take based on the quality and potency of the product. Think about when you intend to have sexual intercourse and give your body time to absorb the CBD.
At High Falls Hemp NY, we provide high potency, premium quality products that are trusted by thousands of customers. Our products are proudly grown on our farm in the Hudson Valley of New York in the USA. We control the process from the seed in the ground to the product in your hands. Each product has its own third party lab report, has verified reviews from customers, and comes with a 30-day risk-free trial.
Your sex life, as you age, does not have to be something you remember but something you continue to enjoy and celebrate as you get older. CBD may be that special ingredient that makes sex great… again!
]]>But perhaps you are not familiar and have no clue what they are talking about and are too embarrassed to tell them.
Do you just keep nodding your head and saying “Yeah” along with them to not feel like you’ve missed something you should know about?
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
CBD has experienced explosive growth across all different consumer products with health and wellness benefits in the past few years, and you see it for sale in many places in many formats and with different concentrations.
High Falls Hemp NY is here to make sure you know all you need to know so that you can proudly engage with conviction the next time the CBD conversation happens. We’ll walk through all the basics about CBD tinctures, how it is used, its benefits, and its effects.
What Does CBD mean?
CBD is the abbreviation for cannabidiol. Try saying that word 5x fast! It’s a good thing they came up with an abbreviation for the name.
CBD is a chemical compound found in the cannabis Sativa plant. Unlike its cousin, THC, (also found in the same plant) short for tetrahydrocannabinol (want to buy a vowel?), CBD does not have any of the psychoactive properties that create a “high” state of mind like THC does.
Easiest Method for Taking CBD – The CBD Tincture
A CBD tincture is a liquid concentrated herbal extract made by blending a carrier agent with concentrated CBD (which is extracted from the hemp plant). Typically, one would use alcohol or vinegar to pull out the active ingredients in the plant parts, concentrating them as a liquid. In the case with CBD, most manufacturers use a solvent such as CO2, ethanol, or other hydrocarbons. Of the group, CO2 is the cleanest to use.
The resulting substance is the oil extracted from the high-CBD; the low-THC strain of the plants grown on High Falls Hemp’s farm. Tinctures are not confined to only CBD; there are many blends of herbal tinctures available in retailers that offer natural health and wellness supplements and vitamins.
How Do You Use a CBD Tincture?
CBD tinctures are taken orally, most preferably, using the sublingual technique. Sublingual means ‘under the tongue’. You can use the dropper that comes with the CBD tincture and place a few drops at a time under your tongue.
For the best results, If possible, hold the drops in your mouth without swallowing for a minute. Nothing bad happens if you swallow, but the CBD will absorb faster into your bloodstream if it is absorbed sublingually.
Some people may prefer to sprinkle a few drops into and in their beverage or food. This may take a little longer for the effects to be felt as it has to metabolize, but, over time, you can find the right amount that works for you taking the CBD orally into your digestive system.
Once the drops dissolve under your tongue, they are absorbed into small capillaries in the mouth, and the CBD travels from there through your body via the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Yes – your body has a network of nerves that form the ECS, and the ECS is responsible for distributing the CBD through your body.
The process from administering the drops to the time you feel the benefits should take about 15 – 45 minutes. Depending on your size, weight, and the way your body processes things (metabolic rate), it may take less/more time. It’s always good to start with a smaller amount and monitor how you feel and increase your serving size – you can always add, but you can’t take away. It’s helpful if a brand provides a chart for suggested amount.
Most importantly, make sure to speak to your health care practitioner before taking CBD to make sure it’s right for you. It’s also important to recognize that while CBD tinctures may work for some, they may not work for you. This is not a “one-size fits all approach.” We are each unique, and the way our body reacts is unique to us. And if you think that the CBD is not working for you, then it is important to experiment with higher concentrations of CBD, or the frequency of usage, or both.
Feeling the effects of a CBD tincture is faster than a gummy or softgel which are other forms of CBD that are impactful but not as fast to show effects as a tincture because of how and where they are absorbed into the bloodstream.
Will I get high from CBD Tinctures?
If you are worried about getting high from a tincture, you can stop worrying now. CBD tinctures will not get you high. High quality, respected CBD tinctures are curated with a high-CBD/less than 0.3% THC strain that eliminates the psychoactive compound and its “high”.
Are there benefits to CBD Tinctures?
There are a lot of CBD companies offering products on the market today. The most important thing to learn about CBD tinctures and CBD products is if the company you are considering makes a medical claim or promises to treat an illness, run away fast. Don’t give them your money and don’t purchase their products.
CBD is a natural alternative to over the counter and prescription medications, but it does not treat or cure any illness. The FDA currently limits the claims that can be made as the scientific studies continue to build to support the efficacy of CBD.
There are many studies on the benefits of CBD, and a limited number of validated research supports some claims, but many more scientific and medical reports are coming quickly. There is a lot of anecdotal information we can share from customers that say it has had benefits for them.
According to verified reviews, the benefits using CBD tinctures include; help with sleep, alleviate stress and discomfort, support muscle and joint discomfort, nausea, inflammation, and more.
Nothing is evidenced by scientific data, but studies are ongoing. Many people like the alternative, holistic benefits of using CBD on their health and wellness journey. But it is in no way a replacement to treat or cure any medical issue.
Are there any side effects of CBD Tinctures?
CBD tinctures do not have any side effects, but, like everything, use should be in moderation. The only thing you may get from CBD tinctures is some dry mouth that can be satisfied with a tall glass of water.
Like all medications you are considering taking, you should consult with a physician and if you are taking other medications, it’s critical that you know from your doctor if CBD will affect it or the ability for your body to metabolize the needed medication.
How much CBD Tincture Should I Take?
As we always suggest, there is not a universal answer to this. Regardless of the form of CBD you select, we all process it differently. There are a few factors that impact this; your size, height, weight, and your body’s system of processing things, and your tolerance levels.
It’s always good to refer to a suggested amount chart or guideline to best manage the process. The only answer to this is that only you yourself will know how much CBD works for you.
It may take a few tries until you find the right amount for you. We suggest that if you try CBD tinctures, use them over a 30 day period so that you give your body time to adjust to using them and monitoring if they work for you.
Does it matter what CBD Tincture I buy?
The simple answer is “absolutely!”. You can’t buy a Buick and expect it to get from 0-60 like a Maserati. The same is true of CBD – the quality and potency matter. Just like the car analogy, what you spend matters. You get what you pay for. The same applies to CBD.
Ready to give CBD Tinctures a try?
If you are ready to try CBD tinctures, there are a few things to consider when selecting the right product for you:
I’ve done my homework on CBD Tinctures – What’s Next?
Whether you purchase your CBD product online or from a local retailer, as we have shared, start with a small amount of the CBD tincture to obtain the result you are looking for.
If it’s the right choice for you, calculate how much you use as a part of your daily regimen and figure out how long it will last. If you purchase high-quality products, with potency, you won’t need as much to achieve the outcome you desire.

]]>There are lots of reasons why people have been using CBD products to temper the stress prevalent in our world in 2020.
Let’s introduce 3 more stress factors which come into play this Saturday, October 31:
According to the lore, when Mercury goes out of retrograde, many things which seem out of whack, fall into place… so is it just a coincidence that the mercury goes out of retrograde on Election Day?
As always, with any CBD product, there are certain steps you should take before using CBD:
Once you have figured out the company you want to purchase your CBD from, there are many forms from which to choose to take your CBD:
Regardless of the form factor, you take, CBD could be a useful aid in helping manage the stress of these times, with a heightened sense of attention to this coming Halloween holiday.
]]>There are apps for meditation and calm, adjustments to diet, increased interest in herbal remedies, and many products that make false promises they aid in reducing your anxiety.
Cannabidiol or CBD for short (much easier to say, right?) is the ingredient trend that is now being infused into many health and beauty products in addition to their sale as stand-alone products.
CBD may have many health and wellness benefits for those interested in natural alternatives to addressing some of their wellness needs. CBD is not addictive and unlike its cousin, THC (AKA marijuana, the cannabis plant), it is not psychoactive, so you won’t get “high” from it. CBD is one of the many active compounds found in the hemp plant, the cannabis plant’s conservative cousin, which naturally contains extremely low levels of THC, (less than 0.3%).
It has been adapted to be used in many different ways we see today by CBD companies online, and by many retail giants with private label CBD products. With so many options in this cluttered marketplace, it can be hard to decide which one may be right for you.
First and foremost, it’s important to consult with your health care practitioner to ensure that CBD is right for you.
It’s also essential to choose wisely when selecting the CBD product, you intend to purchase. If the CBD company you are considering promises to treat or cure any of your medical challenges, they are lying, and you should move on, as companies that do so are in violation of current federal regulations and should be suspect in all areas of their product and business practices. If they don’t clearly label the ingredients in the product, keep searching. If they don’t have third-party lab results from an independent third-party lab, don’t buy them.
And look for companies that provide “full panel” lab reports for safety (absence of pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, and other biologic contaminants), and not just a CBD potency test.
Once you’ve found a trusted company, with products grown in the US, that controls the process from the seed in the ground to the product in your hands, has reviews from a trusted outside source that is verified, has lab reports that can be accessed by their site or via the QR code on the label, and believes in their products enough to offer you a 30-day risk-free guarantee, you are set.
The next hurdle is deciding which consumption method you prefer. When choosing between CBD tinctures and CBD gummies, there are some factors to think about because they are not the same. Understanding the differences between them may help you choose what’s best for you.
CBD is a mystery compound that is enlightening us daily. While it has been around for centuries and used in cultures across the globe for a host of natural remedies, we are just beginning to scratch the surface of what seems to be infinite possibilities of its powers for humans and pets today.
CBD was discovered as a component compound in the hemp and marijuana plant in the early 1990s and eventually patented 10 years later by the US government for its potential medicinal purposes. Scientists are conducting studies to assess its ability to aid in treating many challenges humans and pets have today, and the pace of such studies has accelerated in recent years given the protection afforded researchers under the Farm Bills of 2014 and 2018.
At High Falls Hemp NY, we evangelize truth and disclosure about CBD and its potential benefits. It’s important to recognize that it may provide some with the results they desire as a natural alternative to over the counter and prescription medications, but not for all.
While there are some studies that have confirmed its ability to support wellness, nothing is concrete, and we look forward to the many studies on the horizon.
Anecdotally, we can share that customers across the world that use CBD have found it to be helpful in helping with stress, inflammation, chronic discomfort in muscles and joints, and many other challenges. These testimonials include both humans and pet owners.
The reality is that CBD is everywhere. It’s in beauty products to improve skincare and aid in acne, topical lotions to soothe sore muscles and joints, and many more. There are tinctures, softgels, gummies, powders, and the list goes on.
If you are trying to understand what the difference is between a CBD tincture and an edible CBD product, such as softgels or gummies, we can help.
Both tinctures and softgels and gummies are discreet methods for using CBD, unlike smoking or vaping (which we recommend against – bad for the lungs). Tinctures, softgels, and gummies have longer lasting, and consistently sustained effects.
Both CBD tinctures and CBD softgels and gummies are a great entry point when trying CBD for those looking to experiment. Softgels and gummies, unlike tinctures, allow for a more controlled amount.
One thing to consider when deciding between a CBD tincture and a CBD gummy is, “How quickly do you want it to work?”
Then there is the matter of effectiveness via sublingual absorption (tinctures) vs going through your digestive system:
For greater effectiveness, the sublingual application is the way to go as one has much greater absorption into the body through your mouth lining than through your digestive system.
Favoring the use of edibles is the convenience factor. Both softgels and gummies are easier to take on the go, and consume discreetly, while tinctures require holding the CBD oil under your tongue for 60 seconds, as the longer one holds the CBD oil in one’s mouth, the more efficient will be its absorption into the body.
As well, the edible product should contain a consistent amount of CBD in every unit, unlike tinctures which need to be measured each time you take it.
Lastly, for those with a sweet tooth, they will like the taste and flavor of gummies. Ideally, the gummies you choose aren’t made with corn syrup and only contain natural flavors. Some say they prefer the taste of a gummy over a tincture but there are no advantages other than the time it takes. Softgels on the other hand are just swallowed and there is no taste.
While both methods will get you the desired effect, we believe, hands down, the CBD tincture is a more efficient way to ingest CBD that is fast-acting, with slightly higher perceived absorption. At present, there are no independent studies we can find that support the efficiency of one method over the other, but we are sure that is coming soon.
The good thing about High Falls Hemp NY CBD tinctures, softgels, and gummies is that they are high potency and premium quality so you can’t go wrong. If you aren’t sure and want to try them both, we offer a CBD Mini Tincture perfect for sampling and a 4-pack of CBD gummies in two all-natural flavors to try.
All of our products are triple lab tested, have verified customer reviews, and are loved by thousands. You don’t have to take our word for it. Try them for yourself. We’re sure you will like them, and we offer a 30-day risk-free trial.
Whichever way you choose to go – we know you’ll be satisfied.
]]>You may have experimented with lip balms, lotions, and more. The one product that has infinite applications and uses is CBD oil tinctures.
CBD oil tinctures are one of the most popular products on the market today because of its adaptability and ease to add to or infuse with foods and beverages in our diet daily.
I’d like to share my new daily ritual using CBD oil tinctures! Anyone – “coffee, tea, CBD?” My morning, afternoon. and evening routine has now evolved into creating the all-powerful elixirs that I have to share.
After making myself camera ready for my day of zoom calls, I head into the kitchen to start my day with the first cup of coffee.
Coffee in the morning is a staple for me that puts a smile on my face, calms the nerves, and allows me my first boost of the day powered by the caffeine. But my coffee is no longer a concoction of just cream and sugar added. By adding in a few drops of CBD oil tincture to my coffee, it’s changed my day for the better.
This perfect cup of hot coffee has been transformed into a balance of the fuel to power me through the morning complemented by the calm provided by the CBD tincture. There are a host of studies that provide the potential benefits that CBD may provide as it relates to stress.
For me, like many, I spend my morning multi-tasking – that means the balance between enjoying my coffee coupled with going through my email and planning the day based on appointments, conference calls, personal to-do list,s and more.
It’s all enough to send pangs of anxiety through to my core. But when sipping my “CBD” coffee, I find that I’m able to approach it all in a calm, cool, and collected state. I’m invigorated by the caffeine that keeps me moving in stealth mode balanced by calm powered by the CBD tincture.
For those of you that prefer tea, I’d recommend that adding a few drops in the same manner as coffee may provide you the same natural experience in feeding your mind, body, and soul as it has for me.
Fast forward to the afternoon, it’s time to refuel and reclaim the calm I had been granted through my morning. So, another cup of coffee and a few drops of CBD and I find myself swiftly powering through the balance of my day as the evening approaches. The sense of calm I’ve had prepares me for a more relaxed evening and the ability to end my day successfully without the unease of what’s looming for the next day and the balance of the week.
As I close out my day and head into the evening, I clean up and prepare for the next day but not before preparing a cup of steaming green tea. I switch gears to using a CBD oil terpene tincture that relaxes me and restores my body to a state of calm.
This evening “cocktail” of mine has helped provide me with a restful night’s sleep without any interruptions.
Along with the CBD mania, many companies have created coffee with CBD added in during the roasting or grinding process or added CBD rich hemp to tea bags.
There are new products and new ways in which CBD is being added to these beverages. However, what is not known is how effective these methods are. Suppose a coffee manufacturer adds 1000mg of CBD to its coffee grounds, for the consumer to then make into a pot or cups of coffee.
A question that has yet to be understood is how much of that CBD actually makes it into your cup of coffee (or tea) and from there, how much is absorbed into your body.
The advantage of adding CBD tincture drops into your coffee or tea is that you can be certain as to the amount of CBD you are adding to your beverage. Just make sure that the CBD you are using comes from a reputable manufacturer and that there is an easy way to measure how much CBD is in each dropper, and that the dropper is calibrated so you can add less than a full dropper as you desire.
And do not worry that the temperature of the coffee or tea will destroy the CBD. CBD has a boiling point of approximately 350 degrees Fahrenheit, much hotter than any cup of coffee or tea you will be drinking.
I’ve been so happy about the ease with which I’ve added CBD oil tincture to my daily wellness routine, and it has provided me with natural alternatives to other medications I may have considered.
I should caution you that CBD is not for everyone and we are all unique so my experience may be different than yours. It’s essential that if you are considering adding CBD to your regimen, you should consult with your healthcare practitioner to ensure that CBD is right for you to try.
CBD tinctures can be added to any of your beverages of choice, not just coffee or tea. And, it’s important to find the right CBD product for yourself. I would caution that not all CBD products come from trusted, reliable companies and their products may not provide the experience you are in search of. Try a few until you find the right one for you.
And, of course, if you’d like a CBD tincture or CBD terpene tincture that comes from a company that is trusted by thousands of loyal customers, I’d recommend High Falls Hemp NY. The products are; triple lab tested by third-party, independent labs, have reviews from a verified, third party review company, and the products are consistent and powerful. You may pay a little more, but you get what you pay for.
They also make on-the-go, half ounce/15ml-sized tinctures so you can stash one in your handbag for when you grab a cup of coffee or tea when you are out and about for the day and need to sprinkle in some CBD.
Enjoy your next cup of coffee, tea, or any beverage with a few drops of CBD!
]]>With this CBD health and wellness revolution came droves of products constantly being produced with CBD and retailers dedicating shelf space in their stores to showcase CBD-infused products.
Whether it’s a coffee joint, a salon or spa, health and vitamin shop or chain pharmacy or privately owned pharmacy – you can find CBD taking up residence.
As a consumer, you are being overmarketed to with advertising and promises of CBD as a cure. We are here to set the record straight and make sure to arm you with the questions you need to ask or the things you need to be able to check off the list before purchasing CBD either online or at a retail pharmacy.
First and foremost, check with your licensed health practitioner first to make sure that CBD is right for you. Just because everyone is doing it, doesn’t always mean you should.
CBD oil is used to describe products and formulations that are infused with CBD or concentrated with CBD. CBD is the non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in the Cannabis Sativa (hemp) plant. CBD is extracted from the hemp plant and as legally defined legally, contains less than 0.3% THC, the psychoactive cousin of the hemp plant found in marijuana.
There are full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and isolates as well. Full-spectrum CBD includes more than CBD, inclusive of terpenes and other cannabinoids. Isolates are very similar to full-spectrum carrying the cannabinoids but no THC.
If you aren’t familiar with the different types of CBD oil, here’s an overview.
Full Spectrum CBD contains many of the beneficial compounds found in the hemp plant, including other cannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes. In fact, there are over 200 such compounds found in the hemp plant and science has yet to catch up with how all of them interact with each other, but it is generally believed that the combination of all these compounds provides the most wellness benefits.
Broad Spectrum CBD contains some of the same compounds found in Full Spectrum CBD, however, the THC is removed completely and with it, many of the other minor cannabinoids are removed in the process of removing the THC.
Advocates of Broad Spectrum CBD will claim it is comparable to Full Spectrum Oil, without the THC, but the reality is that many of the other cannabinoids are reduced to the point where Broad Spectrum CBD oil is relatively close in effect to the CBD Isolate.
People take Broad Spectrum CBD or Isolate CBD (see next) because they have jobs (active law enforcement, military, air traffic controllers, or commercial drivers) that have a zero-tolerance for THC.
A very small percentage of CBD users are hypersensitive to the effects of THC and cannot tolerate any amount of THC in their bodies. For these people, broad-spectrum CBD or CBD Isolate products are preferred
CBD Isolate – is just the CBD with no other compounds found in either the broad-spectrum CBD or full-spectrum CBD.
The 2018 Farm Bill removed hemp-derived CBD from a list of illegal drugs but we recommend that you review your state’s laws and guidelines to ensure that CBD purchases are legal in your state.
CBD products vary in popularity, price, and product type. As we always caution, “you get what you pay for”.
CBD products range from $25 – $300 depending on the amount in the bottle and the potency and quality of the product. The less expensive the product, the possibility that you are sacrificing quality.
Like we always say, not all CBD products are created equally. There are a few things you need to keep in mind as you peruse the shelves in your local pharmacy to make sure you are getting a quality product.
There are a lot of CBD companies that mislabel their products or the products are sub-par quality. It’s important to know what to look for on the label to:
Is the company reputable – you can take a few minutes and check their site on your phone while in the pharmacy aisle to ensure you are comfortable
To confirm they are reputable, there are a few things to look for:
Additionally, don’t be intrigued by buzz words like “organic”, “pure”, “all-natural” because those don’t have any scientific meaning in the CBD or hemp space and are purely used as slick advertising speak.
Any product you are considering should not be making any medical claims. While the FDA monitors this all very closely and regularly issues warning letters to brands that make claims that are illegal, it still goes on and you should not purchase products that tell you that they will “treat” or “cure” your medical issue. This is not a brand that can be trusted as such claims have not been verified by double-blind placebo testing.
The most reputable CBD companies will detail all of the items on the checklist we shared in great detail. That is a primary indication that this is a brand that can be trusted.
At High Falls Hemp NY, we live by each of these principles and provide you a trusted CBD company that has; verified reviews on Trustpilot, products that are triple lab tested, QR codes on every product so consumers can easily reference them, do not make medical claims, clearly outlines ingredients on the label and the products carry less than 0.3% THC.
We are so confident that you will enjoy our products that we offer a 30-day risk-free trial and customer service to support or answer any questions you may have.
]]>CBD is an ingredient and product that is getting a lot of attention in the beauty industry today.
There are a variety of products infused with CBD; serums, lotions, bath bombs, lip balms, and more that are already on the market. More are being introduced to consumers on a daily basis. It’s happening at such a rapid pace that it’s harder to keep up with this when you are already overwhelmed with your current beauty regimen.
Simply incorporating a new product into your personal health and beauty routine is already daunting. CBD can enhance your beauty regime without making it more complicated.
Let’s begin by making sure you know what CBD is. Cannabidiol, CBD for short, is one of the hundreds of active compounds that can be found in the hemp and cannabis plant. There are many ways you can use CBD and tinctures happen to be a very popular method. Why you might ask? They are easy to use – they come with a dropper and you can place them easily under your tongue, use them topically, sprinkle or add in your food and beverage or take them with you if you want. You are also in total control of how much you take. Tinctures are also a highly effective means of delivery of CBD into your bloodstream.
Did you know that CBD oil tinctures are very versatile? CBD Tincture is like the one article of clothing you own that can be worn in a lot of ways. CBD oil tinctures are just like that! While you can consume it orally as a holistic alternative for stress and discomfort, it can also be used topically as a natural alternative to some of your beauty needs.
Here’s a beginner’s beauty guide to 8 ways you can use CBD oil tinctures as part of your daily beauty routine. Eight ways to use just one product – that’s a great way to save some money with a product that can adapt to achieve a lot of your beauty desires.
There are many scientific studies that show that CBD can be used as an alternative for a host of dry skin issues people face. Dry skin is often itchy, tight, and flakes in some cases. Dry skin can be aggravated in the winter with dryness from cold weather. If you are looking for some relief from dry skin, CBD tinctures may be very helpful.
Cuticle care may not be the first thing you consider when it comes to beauty but not necessarily the first thing you think about with your beauty regimen. While manicures and pedicures always involve soaking and improving cuticle care for your fingers and toes, sometimes there are residual issues that arise due to environmental conditions or your lifestyle.
There are several studies that show how CBD can be used on cuticles as a natural alternative. Cuticle care can easily be done at home to keep your nails and toes in their best conditions, especially in between appointments or during times when going for a manicure or pedicure is not possible. CBD can help with cuticle care and provide some protection of that area to keep your hands and feet looking their best.
We’ve all experienced the proverbial, “bad hair day” as a result of build-up on the scalp and dry hair. CBD may be the secret ingredient to make it a perfect hair day. There is evidence from scientific studies that reference the fact that the rich nutrients in CBD can help tame your mane and support stronger and thicker hair.
CBD has benefits for both men and women but when it comes to menstrual cramps, that is solely for the ladies. There are brands out there that will tell you that CBD is the miracle supplement to satisfy the challenges associated with menstruation. We don’t believe that CBD will eliminate your cramps, but it may alleviate them a bit. Something can be better than nothing for reducing the discomfort.
When a woman’s period kicks in, she often reaches for Ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatory medications. CBD may be a natural alternative to try to help manage the discomfort and associated muscle cramps. While studies are ongoing, there are some that reference CBD for discomfort associated with menstrual cramps.
While we hope that acne-prone skin subsides in adulthood, many still experience the hassle and embarrassment of breakouts due to hormonal changes throughout life. While there are many factors that contribute to acne, it is firmly established as an inflammatory condition.
There are many products, both over-the-counter and prescription to reduce the inflammation and reduce breakouts, and the redness that can often come from acne. Many studies have shown that CBD oil has anti-inflammatory properties that can be used as a suitable natural alternative that may help with acne-prone skin.
Aging is a natural process and as the skin ages, the skin can lose its firmness and shows a greater amount of visible lines, and wrinkles. The skin has oil-producing glands that keep our bodies looking youthful.
As we begin to age, these glands produce less oil and that can lead to dry skin. Aging becomes more apparent as the skin becomes drier. The levels of elastin, a protein that allows the skin to bounce back to its original shape, decrease as we age and that leads to lower elasticity of the skin.
These are all exacerbated by environmental conditions that also contribute to the loss of elastin and collagen. Scientific studies show that CBD may be a powerful antioxidant that can be an alternative to alleviate these challenges.
CBD has been shown to contain antioxidant properties that reinforce why making it a part of your daily skincare routine may help. It’s long been known that the properties of antioxidants through fruits and vegetables are beneficial for our body as part of a healthy diet which leads to suggest that the antioxidants in CBD may be helpful for moisturizing and toning the skin.
These properties in CBD can help prevent damage from the sun’s harmful rays, hydrate and moisturize the skin, and help with a more healthy, glowing appearance. Research in this area continues but there are some studies to date that have been done to reinforce the potential benefits.
CBD, unlike THC, does not get you “high”. Instead, this compound has a calming effect which can be helpful in reducing some of the difficulties people have with sleep. With the calming effect, CBD may help improve the quality and quantity of sleep. There are many studies that have been done and more in development to continue to study the impact of CBD and improvements to sleep challenges and patterns.
CBD has been used for centuries across the globe by many civilizations as a natural remedy for issues people faced before over the counter medications and prescription pharmaceutical drugs were an option. And, for many today, using CBD as an alternative is not an option in replacing those needed remedies, but as an addition to your beauty regimen – regardless of gender – it’s great to know that you can get a lot of “bang for your buck” with a product that satisfies many of your beauty concerns.
It is important to consult with your healthcare practitioner to make sure that CBD is right for you and that if you are taking other medications, they are able to best help you manage whether or not it’s right for you.
It is also important to know that not all CBD products are equally effective for all people. Each person is unique and it’s important to be cognizant of what to look for when you are purchasing CBD products for use.
If the whole process of selecting the right CBD brand and product is overwhelming, know that you are not alone. Knowing the methods for using the product and what specific needs you have are paramount.
When considering a CBD brand and its products, you want to confirm:
At the end of this decision-making journey, don’t feel dazed and confused. Try a few products and make sure you use this guide to support a host of ways you can use one product to satisfy many challenges. We’re here to answer your questions and concerns.
When shopping for CBD products you might see some labeled as ‘full spectrum’ or ‘broad spectrum’, some labeled as ‘isolate’, or some labeled hemp oil or hemp extract. With all these different labels it can feel overwhelming to pick the right fit for you. What do these different classifications mean?
So, which is better for your skin? How much does the classification matter when it comes to skincare? Let’s get a little deeper into it.
Full or broad-spectrum tinctures are a bad choice for facial skincare, just the opposite in fact! Any CBD choice (especially those in a hemp seed oil carrier or base) will benefit your skin and deliver a punch of antioxidants and other benefits.
Even if you are only using CBD topically, it may have great effects on the skin and may help with a number of skin types, and concerns.CBD lotion can leave the skin with a healthy glow, in part aided by some of the active ingredients found in the lotion (prior to being infused with CBD).
When you apply CBD topically, it allows CBD and the other cannabinoids to interact with the endocannabinoid system (ECS) throughout the body. The endocannabinoid system that we possess is powerful and wide-reaching. The ECS consists of two types of receptors for cannabinoids, the CB1 receptors which are mostly found in the brain and in the central part of the nervous system. The CB2 receptors are scattered throughout the body and this is what allows CBD products, when applied topically to localized areas that might be in distress, to become activated. Using CBD takes full advantage of this system that is already in place within the human body. To put it simply, cannabinoids, such as CBD, interact with cannabinoid receptors throughout the body, that produce potential anti-inflammatory, stress-relieving effects within the body.
There are over a hundred compounds found in the hemp plant and some of those such as terpenes might be found within full-spectrum CBD products that aid the cannabinoids in this process and add their own benefits to them as well. When applied directly to the skin, CBD products can effectively communicate with the CB2 receptors that are just under the skin. So, while you are taking care of your skin, you get the added benefits[N6] that CBD offers to the body, although the effects will be limited when compared to internally ingested CBD products. Using CBD as a beauty product is versatile enough in its own way, and taking advantage of its natural calming elements only adds to the amazing benefits of its use.
By now you should know, CBD is a great and all-natural way to integrate cannabinoid benefits like antioxidants and anti-inflammatories into your skincare routine. Most of us don’t fit into any particular skin type perfectly.
Apart from applying it directly to the skin, there are many other ways you can incorporate CBD into your beauty routine. CBD oils and tinctures can be added and mixed into a number of luxurious products such as lotions, moisturizers, sea salt soaks, and much more.
You can mix a few drops into your favorite bubble bath, and enjoy a relaxing soak while the CBD adds antioxidants to your skin, leaving it with a healthy-looking glow. You may also find yourself using a “CBD Bath Bomb” for the full effects of CBD as an additive to your bath or soak. You may also mix a few drops into your favorite lotion, for a relaxing massage with a powerful punch of CBD benefits.f
Adding CBD into these products will give you all the benefits that CBD has for skin that we have already covered, delivering a powerful dose of antioxidants, and giving you a calming and relaxing experience. Adding CBD to your daily routine is a fantastic way to use the cannabinoid, but mixing it into a soak, adding it to a bath, or infusing it into your favorite lotion are other ways to integrate it into a more luxurious and spa-like experience.
Millions of adults use CBD for countless benefits and to relieve a variety of different problems and concerns. CBD is a terrific way to get all the natural benefits offered by hemp, without the psychoactive results a user would experience with THC.
By now, you know all the ways you and your skin can benefit from including CBD into your beauty or healthcare regime, but do you know of some other ways CBD users are able to benefit from the cannabinoid?
Other CBD products range from vaporizers, edibles, oils, infused lotions, cooking oil, and so many more. If you can imagine it, it probably exists somewhere infused with CBD. We have even seen such absurd products as bedsheets infused with CBD; the efficacy we cannot even imagine how benefits would be derived, but in the big push for everything CBD, well, it is appearing in everything, whether it makes sense or not.
If just using CBD products topically doesn’t exactly fit your needs, or you want to venture a little further into the world of CBD, consider adding another mode of dosage into your daily supplement routine...edibles.
CBD is one of the most versatile supplements you can find and gives you all the natural benefits of hemp without the worry of feeling “high” or losing control of yourself. Some CBD users rely on it entirely for sleep, some for a boost of calm throughout a busy workday, pain, and inflammation while others use it to manage more severe health issues.
No matter your reason for wanting to try CBD, there is a perfect product out there for you. It may take some trial to find exactly what works for you, your body, and your skin, but trying new things to find what you love is half of the fun. From a healthy glow and moisturized skin to feeling relaxed and being able to drift off to sleep easier, CBD is a truly versatile addition to anyone’s daily routine.
CBD is used by millions of adults daily, for anything ranging from skincare, to sleep aid, to keeping calm throughout the day. Finding the perfect amount of CBD can take a little trial and error, but no matter your need for use, there is a perfect CBD product out there for you. If you need assistance in figuring out what the correct amount of CBD is for your purposes, please check out our suggested usage guide.

For many years I had recurring issues with stress.
Being worried and overwhelmed regularly kept me feeling distracted, unproductive, and less emotionally connected to the people I loved.
Geez, just thinking about that time makes me want to reach back through a time tunnel and hug my past self!
Thankfully, there was one technique that truly helped me with my anxiety.
Actually, this technique pretty much saved me. And still does.
This technique is called “sensory meditation” – and it works by tapping into any of your five senses: sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell.
I love doing “sensory meditations”—not only because they are fun. But also because they’re incredibly effective at calming my busy, chattering- monkey mind.
“Sensory meditations” work in a powerful and quick way – because they direct your attention to one of your specific senses.
This mental refocusing then happily distracts your brain from your worries— and retrains your brain to focus instead on the peace of the present moment.
I’m not the only one who loves and recommends “sensory meditations” to relax. So do psychologists, yogis, neuroscientists, and university researchers.
They’re often referred to as grounding tools – and are recommended as a tool to relax – along with popular things like yoga, exercise, bubble baths and CBD tinctures.
“Sensory meditations” have lots of research which consistently reports how they….
Right now you’re probably wondering: “So, what the heck is an example of a sensory meditation?”
I’m gonna share with you one of my very favorites – a “Sensory Taste Meditation” – which has to do with …
Yep, my “relaxation assignment” for you will include chocolate. Lucky you!
I’m specifically assigning you the task of drinking some yummy hot dark chocolate cocoa.
Important Reminder:
Doing a “Chocolate Sensory Taste Meditation” is all about savoring the flavor—not gulping and binging — which is the opposite of a Sensory Taste Meditation. So be sure to savor the flavor of the hot chocolate! And be sure to only do this taste meditation once a day, not one hundred times a day!

From stress and discomfort to skincare and relaxation there are many benefits that can come from a daily CBD regimen. Find out what is the best way for you by talking to your doctor about it.
Let’s face it. We’re rough on our skin – it’s a never-ending task to keep our skin looking and feeling soft, healthy, and beautiful. We expose our skin to a variety of damaging factors every day, often not realizing the damage done. When we finally notice we scramble to find a product that helps bring suppleness and beauty back; unfortunately many products on the market fall short of the ability to provide both relief and restoration.
There’s a lot of buzz about CBD and the buzz isn’t going away anytime soon. It’s virtually in every type of product: we see CBD drinks, CBD chocolates, and CBD gummies. Full-spectrum CBD products such as these provide wellness benefits from the inside out. It is easy to understand why skincare products infused with CBD are taking over the market. Lotions, facial cleansers, skin creams, lip balms – even CBD bath bombs!
While we may know what’s good and bad for our skin, it’s not possible to protect ourselves from every harmful element that we may encounter. The sun emits powerful rays, the wind can chaff our skin, even the water we shower or bathe in can have chemicals that could potentially cause damage. As gloom as this all sounds, there is a solution.CBD infused body products help provide therapeutic benefits to our bodies and bring health back to our skin.
Most of us love the sun, especially this time of year. We’ve already survived the long, cold winter; now we’re ready to bask in the warmth of the sun as nature begins to awaken for the year. While we crave the sun’s warmth and comfort, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows for our skin.
As much as most of us love the sun, unfortunately, too much of a good thing can turn into a bad thing. As we go through life and the years go by the time that we spend in the sun unprotected from its rays adds up. Once this happens it is not easy to repair the damage.
Exposure to the sun causes an effect many of us are familiar with; sunburn. Sunburn occurs when the UV rays burn the outer layer of skin, reducing the natural elasticity of your skin over time. As the ultraviolet rays from the sun penetrate the outer layer of your skin, they attack skin cells causing permanent damage or kill the cells completely.
Many of us experience the effects of dry air in our skin: chapped lips and dry, itchy skin are uncomfortable, to say the least. Certain parts of the country experience this all year round, while other regions are particularly hard hit in the winter. Even as winter fades away some of us are still waiting for our skin to recover from the exposure over the colder months. We’re still experiencing a few dry patches and our lips may still be sore and chapped.
You may not believe that your skin is beautiful, but it is. Where would you be without it? Skin is a pretty important thing, so it needs to be taken care of in the best way. We only use natural, wholesome ingredients when we formulate our products. Why settle for anything less?
Among the most well known and popular natural ingredients for healing damaged skin is aloe vera. With enzymes, antioxidants, and super vitamins A and C, aloe boasts a number of benefits to various skin conditions, including burns, dry skin, and, yes, even smoothing or preventing wrinkles!
Avocados have made quite a splash in today’s market – both food and skincare. Avocado oil contains several vitamins, including vitamin E, and serves as a natural moisturizer due to its emollient properties.
High Falls Hemp NY products also contain other well-known and studied natural ingredients for dry skin. Sweet almond oil, coconut oil, and beeswax make their ways into our products to boost the therapeutic benefits of our 100-percent hemp CBD body lotion and CBD lip balm.
High Falls Hemp CBD body lotion is a creamy blend of aloe, calendula, and avocado oils. Unlike some other products, our formula is non-greasy, allowing you to massage it into your skin without leaving greasy fingerprints everywhere afterward! Our blend of ingredients soaks deep into the skin for deep hydration, helping eliminate the harmful effects of the sun, air, and water we expose ourselves to on a daily basis.
CBD lip balm combines the benefits of full-spectrum CBD with soothing and moisturizing beeswax, coconut oil, and sweet almond oil. The formula is designed to melt to soak into dry, chapped lips and provide moisture to even inner layers.
Sometimes prevention isn’t possible, which makes treatment even more powerful. Taking care of your skin with ultra-hydrating CBD-infused products may help alleviate the stress your skin endures as a direct result of everyday life. Healthy, moisturized skin isn’t only healthy – it’s beautiful.
]]>Many tout it as a natural remedy to stress, and anxiety, and a natural way to just relax. While CBD affords us a host of natural solutions, there is often one complaint, the taste.
On its own, many forms of CBD taste horrid, and the aftertaste is rarely better. Here are some ways to take CBD that can help introduce them in less intrusive ways.
I may be a tad biased towards this one. A few drops of CBD oil can subtly change the flavor of an entire cup of coffee. Rather than the aggressive taste, you’ll get a pleasant, and enjoyable change. Put in a bit of creamer if you prefer, and enjoy a simple cup of CBD coffee. An advantage of this is the ability of CBD to counteract some of the negatives of caffeine. Caffeine may give us all the jitters, but CBD is notable for its ability to relax and calm nervous and restless individuals. Be wide awake… but remain calm!
Perhaps the only beverage that can rival coffee, tea is a far more freeform craft. You can throw mint, rosemary, even garlic in a pot of tea, and receive tasty results. CBD oil is an obvious no-brainer, and shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. It’s here that I should specify how vital it is to remain conservative in your dosage. Only a few drops are necessary for most people to feel the effects of CBD and too much could cause discomfort in users.
The best way to benefit from CBD added to a smoothie is to use either CBD oil tinctures or CBD isolate. Simply add the desired amount to your superfood smoothie after it’s blended, then blend for another 10-15 seconds to ensure it’s fully incorporated.
This is definitely one of the more interesting ones! There are CBD treatments for hair, with studies that provide information that the direct application of the oil to hair has moisturizing benefits, can assist in hair growth and may protect the hair and aid in damage repair, and may add shine to the hair. According to some studies, CBD can be absorbed through the scalp. Some state that CBD-based shampoo can increase the strength in hair strands, by providing plant-based support. This is instrumental in hair health and appearance.
Somehow even more intriguing than shampoo, with even more research is lotion. Your skin is layered with an endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for a multitude of bodily functions. This allows CBD to be absorbed through your skin, and since it has similar properties to the aforementioned coconut oil, it has health benefits beyond its relaxing effects.
At last, a familiar option. Edibles are perhaps the most popular alternative method to consume CBD. With CBD edibles, you can get it absorbed into your bloodstream through your digestive system, and you’ll find the effects taking place after a few minutes. While this is without a doubt the least intrusive way to take CBD, it’s also the easiest to overdo. Make sure you’re aware of the amount of CBD in every edible and make sure you avoid taking too much.
Most of us won’t continue to ingest things that are good for us unless they taste good. It’s often hard to find a CBD Tincture that tastes as good as HighFallsHempNY does on it’s own. Most tinctures either taste ‘skunky, hempy, grassy’ or just bad, on their own without mixing it into other foods or adding flavor compounds to mask.
Even with blending with food/beverage there’s still the underlying unpalatable flavor. HFHny uses a proprietary distillation and filtering method and triple refined hemp seed oil as the base, resulting in a smooth, light and non-grassy taste which makes work in any recipe and is palatable on its own.
Be on the lookout for additional products and information on how CBD is used as a key ingredient and the details about its benefits.

“I’m delighted to be named High Falls Hemp NY’s Brand Ambassador and PR & Media Consultant.
Those of you who know me from my sports radio and television work, know that I embrace a healthy lifestyle, often talking about the importance of regular exercise and good nutrition.
So, when Tricia Horst and Rick Weissman, friends of mine for three decades, approached me about helping them promote High Falls Hemp NY, their family-owned CBD company with farming operations in High Falls, New York, offering a trusted source of wellness products for athletes of all sports, I became intrigued.
Then when I tried the CBD infused lotion and CBD Tincture oils, I was sold!
It’s so important to educate golfers and all athletes about the benefits of hemp-based CBD and how CBD distinguishes itself from its cousin, the marijuana plant.
They do a great job on this website educating everyone about the potential benefits of CBD, and the importance of selecting a trusted brand like
High Falls Hemp NY, whose products are federally compliant for sale (less than 0.3% THC, and do not get you high), and include a line of hemp based products, made from CBD isolate which are THC free.
I’m thrilled to be able to share High Falls Hemp NY products and philosophy with you.”

Terpenes are derived from various plants, fruits, or vegetables and their wellness benefits have been well documented. In fact, it’s the Terpenes that produce the fragrance and taste of different plants and fruits.
FUN FACT: Terpenes originally developed in plants as a way to adapt and ward off predators.
For instance, Myrcene, which is found in hemp, is also found in the mango fruit and is credited with having a sedative effect as well as being a natural anti-inflammatory agent. Limonene, which is also found in citrus fruits, may benefit your metabolism and reduce stress. Pinene is also found in Pine needles and rosemary and may help clear your sinuses. Linalool in the lavender plant.
It’s been interesting to compare the fragrance of last year’s harvest and this year’s harvest. Limonene was definitely the dominant terpene profile last year, as our fields smelled like lemons, and this year Pinene (known as the fragrance of Pine Trees) was the distinctive scent.
Terpenes are naturally occurring organic compounds that are present in every plant species that is on the earth. From the tiny blades of grass on your lawn to the enormous giant sequoias that grow upwards of 200 feet tall, each botanical life form harbors its own array of terpenes that ward off pests, vitalize health, and bring strength to each and every cell of the plant.
The most prominent characteristic of terpenes is the scent that they exude. Each plant species has its own distinctive scent, and that scent puts them apart from other species. For example, if you sniff a rose flower, then sniff the flower of a lotus you will immediately be able to tell the difference.
It turns out that the scents of terpenes can actually produce a physiological effect on humans in various ways that can cause calmness, relaxation, and relief from discomfort. Since each plant has its own different terpenes, understanding them can seem a little complicated. However, if you take a moment to stop and smell the flowers, you may see things from a better perspective.
As the popularity of CBD continues to skyrocket above many other favored commodities on the market, people are starting to ask questions. What exactly is CBD? Why is it so special? What do CBD and terpenes have to do with each other? These are all great questions, but in order to answer them, it is important to understand what the hemp plant has to do with the whole topic.
Hemp is a unique plant that is related to a long line of cannabinoid-producing plants in the cannabis family. The special thing about hemp is that throughout the centuries it has been crossbred in order to produce the highest amount of CBD while producing a low amount of THC. CBD and THC are both cannabinoids that are part of the hemp plant, but THC is known for its psychoactive traits, and CBD is known for its wellness properties. In short, CBD is a cannabinoid in the hemp plant that people all around the world love to use. Cannabinoids that are in the hemp plant are naturally occurring compounds that make up the essence of the plant.
There are other plants that produce cannabinoids other than cannabis. However, no other plant has as much of a concentration of cannabinoids as plants in the cannabis family. Although humans and other animals all have what is known as the endocannabinoid system that creates its own cannabinoid-like cells that help the body stay balanced, cannabinoids do not seem to have evolved specifically for humans. It appears that the cannabinoids that are present in a cannabis plant work together with the terpenes in order to ward off pests and provide antioxidant properties to fight off damaging free radicals that are produced by the sun.
Scientific studies also suggest that the cannabinoid THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, developed in ancient cannabis plants to keep insects and other life forms from eating them. Apparently, THC has a psychoactive effect on bugs and pests too. Imagine if something the size of an aphid consumed its own bodyweight in some good, strong, THC oil. It might not ever come back again. Or, on the other hand, it might come back the next day with a bunch of its friends. In any event, cannabinoids seem to be a crucial part of the survival mechanism that is embedded in plants that come from the cannabis genus.
Terpenes and cannabinoids work together in the hemp plant in order to maintain health, strength, and vitality in the plant as it grows and matures. As the hemp plant ages, cannabinoids become stronger and more prevalent in the plant. You may have noticed that although there are literally millions of different strains of the cannabis plant, there is always that underlying scent that makes it obvious that it is what it is. The scent is the presence of cannabis terpenes. Regardless of the strain, you can tell cannabis by its scent.
Terpenes and cannabinoids work together in a number of different ways. However, the entourage effect is what attracts most of the attention when it comes to this topic. It turns out that when the whole essence of the hemp plant is used by a human or an animal, all of the components that are present in the plant work together to enhance the effect of each other on the user. In simple terms, CBD produces more potential benefits with it being accompanied by THC along with the other cannabinoids and terpenes that are present in the extract. In essence, each compound is a musician on a different instrument in a symphony. When they all play together in harmony, the result is beautiful music. If each instrument plays on its own, it is merely one instrument without backup.
The full-spectrum extract is an extract that includes all of the cannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes that are present in the hemp plant. Full-spectrum simply means that the full spectrum of the hemp plant is there and nothing has been left out. There are also broad-spectrum extracts that include most of the cannabinoids and terpenes but leave out THC. There is also a CBD isolate extract, which means that the cannabinoid CBD has been extracted from the plant and isolated from the rest of the available compounds.
Full-spectrum extracts are the least processed, and most natural types of cannabis extract. When other components are removed, there have to be more steps involved in the process. The end result of a full-spectrum extract is a solution that is chock full of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavinoids.
From peppermint to lavender there is a good chance that you have heard of essential oils. Much like the popular essential oils that are available in most wellness stores today, hemp extracts are the essential oil of hemp. The whole essence of the hemp plant is extracted from the flowers, or buds, and pulled into a nice little oil that has a heavenly scent. The truth is that when you buy full-spectrum CBD products you get the whole hemp plant in your purchase. This includes CBD, THC, and all of the other goodies that are in there.
When the hemp plant comes to the age of harvest the harvesters will cut the plant from the ground and hang it upside down in order to ensure the health and the quality of the extracts that they will pull from the plant.
At High Falls Hemp NY each and every plant that is grown from the earth as a seed gets the utmost care, love, and attention as it matures and becomes the essence of every extract that occurs in the facility.
Since there are literally billions of plant species around the world, it is safe to assume that there is still a lot that needs to be discovered about terpenes and the mysteries that surround them. However, there is a lot of evidence out there that supports the theory behind the therapeutic benefit of terpenes.
Although terpenes do have an effect on humans and animals, they do not directly make changes or cause the body to change in the same way that cannabinoids do. Although one terpene, beta-caryophyllene, does interact with the human endocannabinoid system, the rest of the terpenes that we know of today cause calming and relaxation in the same fashion that different colors and shapes can.
This means that, generally, the aromatic compounds of the terpenes can trigger feelings of comfort, joy, euphoria, and familiarity. These types of feelings and emotions have a direct effect on the human body. For instance, when a person takes a deep, slow breath and relaxes, the blood pressure lowers, and the heart rate slows. If a person is enjoying the fragrance of a lavender flower during this breath, the slowing heart rate is not a direct result of the lavender, but the relaxation is.
As we mentioned at the beginning of this article, each and every plant has terpenes. People from ancient times have been using various terpenes for different reasons for a very long time. From the strong, robust smell and taste of black pepper to the crisp, sweet tingle of the limonene family these amazing compounds are part of our daily lives. Terpenes can repel insects and keep plants safe, but they can also attract bees to help plants reproduce and flourish the way they are supposed to. Terpenes are a part of nature, and it is incredible that everything that walks, crawls, creeps, and soars can benefit from them in different ways. Terpenes are just another way that a daily regimen of a full-spectrum CBD extract can add health and wellness to your life.
]]>I was vetting an investment in a hemp derived CBD business, and part of my diligence was to see if these products actually worked. I had read about CBD, but never found a product that lived up to the hype.
We tested and tasted, multiple formulations until we found one that met our standards. Our hemp-derived CBD is a clean tasting formulation, that holds on to all the cannabinoids, while filtering out the residue that can make CBD unpalatable for many people.
What do you know? – nearly every person I sent a sample to reported good results. It didn’t solve everyone’s problems, but it DID help alleviate a number of different health complaints that my friends and family had been having. In fact, for some, using CBD was a transformative event as ailments which affected my family and friends for years dramatically improved.
Suddenly, my potential “investment” took on a personal meaning. And when I couldn’t find a company to invest in that was up to my standards, my wife, Tricia Horst, and I decided to start our own.
Now, at the end of our 2nd harvest season, we are reflecting on how important our mission has become and how rewarding it is to be involved in this incredible new industry. The CBD wellness revolution will continue to improve the lives of generations to come.
Thanks for being on this journey with us! We really appreciate your support!
