What are cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are compounds found in hemp but also produced by other plants and the human body. There are more than 113 cannabinoids, but CBD and THC are the most prevalent and most widely known. What is the Endocannabinoid System?
When cannabinoids are inside the human body they are referred to as Endocannabinoids and are a functional component of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). The ECS system has receptors that interact with these compounds and use cannabinoids to support a stable internal environment called homeostasis. What is the difference between CBD from hemp and CBD from marijuana?
In reality, not much – as the compound itself when isolated is the same. But legalities differ. The cannabis family includes hemp plants and marijuana plants. Hemp plants are defined as containing less than 0.3% THC. If CBD is made from Hemp, it is legal in all 50 states. CBD from the marijuana plant is only legal in certain states.
Is CBD legal?
CBD from Hemp is legal in all 50-states. Our products are created under a license from the New York State Dept. of Agriculture, made possible by the Farm Bill of 2014, and the Farm Bill of 2018.
How long do your products take to work?

Do your products contain THC? And will your CBD make me high?
Our full-spectrum products have less than 0.3% THC. If taken as directed these products do not produce an intoxicating effect. For more information, go to our Learn page.
Will the small amount of THC show up on a drug test?
It is possible for THC in a Full-Spectrum product to show up on a drug test. We also offer a 0% THC product (CBD Isolate). This caters to those with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), active military, law enforcement, first responders and healthcare workers, as well as athletes who are tested for THC.
What is the difference between Hemp Seed Oil, CBD, and Full Spectrum Hemp Extract?
Hemp Seed Oil is made from seeds, contains no CBD and is often used as a carrier agent ingredient to help the body better absorb the products.

CBD (Cannabidiol) is just one of the cannabinoids in a Full Spectrum Hemp Extract, it can also be used as an isolated compound.
Full Spectrum Hemp extracts are made with all of the cannabinoids in the Hemp plant, including CBD and THC which all work together to produce the most beneficial effects.
How can I tell if I’m buying a good Hemp/CBD product?
Third party lab reports will show the quality and confirm contents of a good Hemp/CBD product. High Falls lab reports are available online by scanning the QR codes on the labels which lead directly to product batch information.
A trusted company like High Falls Hemp does not make medical claims on their labeling or marketing.
Look for a clean tasting product. Many products have a herbaceous, grassy or dirty flavor. Ours goes through an additional filtration process, to produce a clean tasting product and a refined hemp seed oil, which has a milder taste and is more palatable for consumers.
What extraction process do you use?
Our tinctures are manufactured using C02 extraction methods. Our soft gels use food grade ethanol.
Can I use CBD for my pets?
Yes, our Pet Hemp extract has 250mg of full-spectrum phytocannabinoids including CBD per bottle. Pet dose is recommended by weight which is explained on the product label.
How can I tell what is in my product?
Our labels are very specific and you will see the amount of CBD per package listed on the front as well as the amount per dose (1-ml dropper or 1-softgel).
The product label notes whether it is from full-spectrum or isolate, and there is a complete ingredients panel on every package.
There is a QR code on each product, that when scanned goes to the lab report page on our website where reports are listed by the lot number corresponding with the specific batch manufactured.

Should I get the tinctures or the soft gels?
Our most popular products are tinctures as they are the easiest to adjust for dosing and tend to absorb faster in the system as they are taken sublingually, but the soft gels are the most convenient. For more information go to our Learn page.

How much of the oil is in each bottle and dropper?
Our tincture bottles are 30ml (1 ounce), containing 30 – 1ml servings.
Each bottle has a dropper with markings designating ¼, ½, ¾, or 1ml so you can monitor how much CBD you are taking.

Can this product be used with prescription drugs?
If you are taking prescription drugs, or have underlying health issues, it is important to consult your physician before using Hemp-derived CBD supplements. CBD has been shown to affect how certain medications metabolize in your liver.

What are the ingredients in High Falls Hemp NY Tinctures?
We only use one ingredient in our products and it is Hemp… featuring NY grown hemp extract, which comes from the plant’s flower, from on our own farm, combined with a refined hemp seed oil.
What is the shelf life of High Falls Hemp products?
The tinctures and soft gels carry a shelf life of 18-24 months. Each batch has a “Best By” date printed on the label.
Are your CBD products sensitive to light and temperature like other CBD products?
Yes, be sure to store in a cool, dark, dry place for long-lasting quality.
Are your products gluten free? Nut free? Vegan?
Yes, our products are made from natural hemp, are gluten free, vegan and cruelty free.
I’m pregnant. Can I use your products?
Our labeling recommends that you consult a physician before use if you are pregnant or lactating or are concerned about any health issue, diagnosis or treatment.
Where is the hemp in your products grown?
Our hemp comes from New York state, most of our products contain CBD that is grown on our hemp farm in upstate New York.

Where do you ship your hemp-derived CBD products?
CBD is legal by the U.S. farm bill of 2018 therefore we ship to all 50 states. We currently do not ship outside of the U.S.
